Excellent advice here. I followed all of them for the query that landed my agent.

You are the rare AtoZer who had an easy Q. Query is on every writer’s hate list! Nice summary, though.

I was a little worried with the title – “The Perfect Query” Oh, no, I thought, another post filled with advice and templates that might work in some situations, but won’t really help writers stand out. Nope! I shouldn’t have doubted.

Thank you for sharing this! I haven’t yet ventured into the realm of writing a query letter. It is very intimidating, often because of conflicting advice. This seems solid, thanks to your source, Hoda. I am saving this and sharing it on my FB page.

Wonderful post! Now I’m thinking I should go back and add, “Of course, there are exceptions to every rule,” to pretty much every post I’ve ever written. Love this breakdown.

Great advice and tips. That’s a lot of query letters for an agent to receive each month.

These are really helpful tips. I’m not at the querying stage yet, but I’ve bookmarked this post as I’m sure it will come in handy later.
