B is for Branding.
We all know that if we want to make it as authors, we need a brand. But it’s very confusing. So, I invited over Rachel Thompson from BadRedhead Media to explain things for us.

Thanks for the helpful information Ronel and Rachel. I have to admit I’m one of those old fashioned writers adverse to using hashtags in their bio, so thanks for the clarification on the importance of their use (and yes, I hate it when people overuse it). I really need to work on those keywords now! 😉

You’re welcome, Debbie. I didn’t like the use of hashtags either until I stumbled upon Rachel’s blog.

Ronel,
Hokey smoke! This is a lot of info to digest. In short, I think I’m branding myself without even knowing that I’m doing it. That’s kinda cool. Thanks for sharing such an insightful post that educated me all the better on branding. Also, I appreciate you stopping by today. Happy A2Zing, my friend!

I really thought it as branding, but most of my social media posts and books have to mythology and history. It’s just what I like to discuss. 🙂

Thanks for all the great information! I’m one of those writers who hates to address branding, but I feel better now knowing what it is and what it isn’t!

Very thorough! Thanks Ronel and Rachel for the great tips. I need to go check my various social media bios. I’m pretty sure they are not consistent, though my avatar is the same throughout.
