Ta-ta-da…

I found out about this blogfest over on Daily(W)rite a while back and thought I should share it with you before it actually goes live.

cherished blogfest 2016

The blogfest begins on Friday 29th July 2016. The Linky List entries will open at 12.01 PM (GMT) on the 29th and close at 11.59 PM (PST) [I think on the last day of the blogfest – the 31st of July?]

Anyhow, your blog title should be 75 characters or less (almost like Twitter, just shorter 😉 ) and the post should be 500 words or less. This will enable people to read as many posts as possible.

The hosts of the Cherished Blogfest: Dan Antion, Sharukh BamboatDamyanti Biswas, Mary Giese, Peter NenaCheryl Pennington and Kate Powell.

So what is this blogfest all about, you might ask. On either the 29th, 30th or 31st you should post your story about a cherished object. Figure out which object – even a mundane desk lamp will do (you’ll see what I mean next week) – holds memories you cherish. Then write a 500 word piece about it – share your memories, emotions and information tied to this cherished object. You can even add a picture or two of this object you cherish.

Remember to add the badge to your sidebar (I linked it to the original info page on the Cherished Blogfest blog). And spread the word of the blogfest via social media using the hashtag #CBF16.

Join the blogfest to make new connections and renew old ones. There’s a Linky List where you can sign up now to show that you’re participating, and one that will go live on the 29th where you can enter the information of your cherished post.

Hoping to see you all there.
